10 Mandamientos Sobre La Educación Y Sus Traducciones

Hola queridos lectores,

  1. Aprende a respetar a tu profe y a tus compañeros. Learn to respect your teacher and peers.

Every day, it is the best day of your life.

3. Sé trabajador y ayuda a tus compañeros. Work hard and help your peers.

4. Aprende cada día algo nuevo. Learn a new thing every day.

5. Sonríe y ama la vida. Smile and love your life.

6. Piensa, imagina y crea. Think, imagine and create.

7.  Haz algo positivo cada día. Do a positive thing every day.

8. Los errores están permitidos. Mistakes are allowed.

Don´t forget to say a magic word: thanks.

10. No te canses nunca de aprender. Don´t get bored of learning.

About England, English and pubs

Inma and a pub

England is a really beautiful country with a lot of culture and pubs.

One of the first sayings that I was told when I came to live to Norfolk, UK is the following one:

In Norfolk, there is a church for every week of the year and a pub for every day of the year…

And this is so true, we can find in all England many pubs and churches. Almost in every street you can find a church or a pub. This is surprising and amazing. But, the most surprising thing for me it is the comparison between churches and pubs. This can tell us that pubs are great place to socialize, meet with your friends at the end of the day or at the weekend to talk about your life, your work, your future holidays, your new house, etc… Pubs are great places to talk and in this sense, interesting, new and old words take place in these unique places.

I think that if you want to have a real taste of England, you need to go to a pub in England. Not only that, once you have passed through the door, you can feel the beginning of a unique experience. This is an English experience. Then, you can order a nice drink or chat with the friendly and helpful staff to know more about a drink or the food that is served in that pub. I would recommend you a nice cold cider, you will enjoy it! Cheers!

But, let’s not talk now about alcohol or drinks, that is not my style anyway. Let’s talk about words. Yes, words and conversations in a pub. Now, you must think that we are talking about a different topic or something else, but it is not like this. Let me introduce you to this idea. This one is the English language talked in a pub.

From my own experience, I have been working in a pub for two years, I can tell you that there is something extraordinary happening right now at any pub in England. This is the conversation that takes place between customers and staff. You could learn every day a new thing, because every day is different. This is what I adore from this culture. The people who love going to the pub to talk and converse, like if we were in other times. Like if we were in the past with a group of intelligent people conversing about important matters. Imagine that you are in a book, that you play the main role in this and now you are living here and enjoying from this experience. Imagine that you have entered in this beautiful pub, you order your favorite drink and now you feel lucky because you have a couple of friends waiting for you in a table on the beer garden. It is sunny, warm and you just can’t wait to catch up with your besties. Now, everything makes sense and you are enjoying the full experience.

English, words, meanings and expressions take place in these unique places. I have learnt so many interesting words, expressions and different ways of seeing this world that you would be amazed at the end of it. Why do I recommend you to live this experience? Because it is unique, yes, it is. It is another way of learning, it is a practical and real way of learning English with real English people. The best of everything, it is the freedom of expression that you can feel in a pub. People, customers, feel relaxed and they are willing to communicate with each other and with you, if you try it.

Learning a language implies experiences and practicality. This place can provide you with the real experiences that you haven’t had before. At the same time, it feels special, because you can observe the difference between somebody who is in the pub and somebody who is outside. It is like the mindset of that person would change completely. There is like a beginning and a end. It is really interesting, but only if you want to master a foreign language completely, you need to drink from their culture. I can tell you that there is culture in the pubs. The pubs are culture in this country.

Sobre traducción
